Scope and who is responsible

Orislop is responsible for the data practices described here. This policy applies to orislop.com, the released Orislop browser extension for YouTube and YouTube Shorts, and related Orislop services. It does not govern YouTube, Chrome, or another service you visit or choose to use.

Data we handle

The website

The public website is an informational product site. It does not require an account, accept video uploads, or provide a public video analyzer. Visiting the website does not submit YouTube identifiers, media, passwords, cookies, private messages, or unrelated browsing activity to Orislop.

Orislop does not place third-party analytics or advertising trackers in this website release. Like most websites, hosting and security providers can process ordinary request information such as your IP address, browser type, requested path, timestamps, and security events to deliver and protect the site.

The extension on your device

The extension keeps the following information in Chrome so the product can work:

• the on/off state, 12 filter choices, and display and performance settings;
• a random installation identifier used to keep your private session separate;
• recent filtered and flagged activity, capped at 300 records;
• YouTube item identifiers or derived keys, links and titles when available, scores, reasons, durations, and timestamps;
• small learned-term and preference records;
• a refresh token in Chrome local storage and a short-lived access token in Chrome session storage.

Checks and feedback

When you request a check, the extension can send the YouTube item identifier, a temporary media reference, duration, playback position, language, and basic device capability information needed to provide the feature.

Filtering begins immediately with a private anonymous session created from a random identifier generated by the extension. The released extension does not ask you to create or link an account.

Service records can include session credentials, usage timestamps, check results, status information, and feedback you submit. Orislop also processes ordinary request information such as an IP address for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.

How we use data

Orislop uses the information described above only to:

• provide the filtering, explanation, history, and preference features you use;
• keep private sessions separate and enforce fair-use limits;
• secure the service, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and measure reliability;
• process feedback and improve the accuracy of user-facing detection features; and
• comply with applicable law and protect users, Orislop, and the public.

Orislop does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, use it for personalized advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness, lending, employment, housing, or insurance eligibility.

Service providers and disclosures

Orislop uses providers only where needed to operate the product. Depending on the feature and current production configuration, those providers can include:

Providers may keep their own infrastructure logs under their settings and policies. Orislop may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect security, or defend legal rights. Orislop does not authorize providers to use Orislop user data for advertising or independent data-broker purposes.

Temporary media and diagnostic clips

A requested check can temporarily process the current video's media. Ordinary check media is short-lived and is not kept as a permanent video library.

If an explicit error report requests a short diagnostic clip, Orislop asks first, removes audio, protects the clip at rest, and deletes it after seven days. The normal feedback flow does not request a clip.

Retention

Some cleanup is activity-driven, so an expired database row can be removed after the stated window rather than at the exact second the window ends. Orislop may retain information longer only when needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or the establishment or defense of legal claims.

Your choices and privacy rights

• Website: your browser may cache ordinary site files. You can clear site data using your browser controls.
• Extension: clear local extension records and settings from the popup. Removing the extension also removes its storage under Chrome's normal rules.
• Private identifier and feedback: use the popup control to delete the anonymous identifier and linked feedback records.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know or access personal information, correct it, delete it, receive a portable copy, restrict or object to certain processing, and receive equal service when you exercise a privacy right. Orislop does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no sale or advertising-sharing opt-out to exercise.

To make a privacy request, email support@orislop.com. Orislop may need to verify that the request relates to you and will respond as required by applicable law. Authorized agents may submit a request where local law permits.

Security

Orislop uses HTTPS in transit, protected session credentials, limited media lifetimes, and access controls around production services. Explicit diagnostic clips are protected at rest. No security method is perfect, so Orislop cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Orislop is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Orislop, contact support@orislop.com so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

International processing

Orislop and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those locations may have data-protection rules that differ from the rules where you live.

Chrome Limited Use

Information received through Chrome APIs is used only to provide or improve Orislop's disclosed, user-facing filtering purpose and related security and reliability. Orislop does not permit routine human reading of that data. Human access is limited to a user's explicit consent for specific data, security or abuse investigation, legal requirements, or aggregated and de-identified internal operations allowed by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

Orislop may update this policy when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date and policy version at the top will change when an update is published. If a change materially expands how extension user data is used, Orislop will provide an appropriate notice and obtain consent where required before using that data for the new purpose.
